I am attorney Lawrence T. Brooke.

I have spent my career representing individuals against big business and the Government and I am currently specializing in serious traffic and minor criminal cases.

I have chosen this area because my clients are not really criminals but they are treated like they are. In Northern Virginia ordinary people with no criminal records frequently go to jail, loose their drivers licenses, pay huge fines, loose their security clearances or otherwise have their lives ruined for making one mistake. Decades with a spotless record counts for almost nothing. Having a job, supporting a family and being a good citizen count for exactly nothing. It's just not fair when some real criminals convicted of felonies never spend a day in jail.   

They are not even doing it to you on purpose. With a population this large there is a huge volume of criminal and traffic cases. They simply don't have time to look at each defendant and decide exactly what to do. Their job is to make sure people are caught and punished when they break the law and they do it very well. They keep you safe unless you are charged with a crime. Then it is up to you.
